How much does it cost?

Hebrew- Kama Ze Ole

T-Mobile

Is it me or is anyone else getting slammed with huge overage charges.

Now I remember when I first got my t-mobile plan the great benefit of it was that I could talk to all my friends who had t-mobile for free. Since we all had t-mobile we wouldn’t have to worry about getting charged for gabbing for hours.

Now t-mobile has its my 5 where you could pick your most called people and get free calling to them for a charge. Now i’m being told that I never had mobile to mobile. Does anyone else smell horse manure?

Now I wish I had saved my bills from 2004 that showed that I had 400 mobile to mobile calls and 400 regular calls. Anyone wanna explain why i never got overage charges if I only had 600 minutes and no mobile to mobile calling.

Also isn’t it handy dandy that since there was supposedly never any mobile to mobile calling that now they have a 6 dollar plan to give these mobile to mobile minutes.

It’s bad enough we’re paying more for rent, gas, food, it figures that the cell phones companies would need a little more.

I’m also being told that a service that was done for me in the past wasn’t supposed to be done, if that was the case how come it was done more than 3 times.

Hey t-mobile, thanks for nothing.

MACBETH ON BROADWAy

Good afternoon,

I wish it was goodnight because I’ve got a killer headache that was not there before I saw the play.

I’ll admit I am more of a musical person, but event here I have discriminating tastes, not ever song is good, and most are forgettable.

The play was a good length despite its 3 hours. I’ve been antsier at shorter productions which just goes to show how interesting this production was.

It didn’t make much sense and I found a fellow subway rider with the same impression. IT was the exact same Macbeth with the same script only it was supposed to be occurring in the 1940’s. I don’t mind this, I actually welcome adaptations so that people who might not understand Shakespeare can enjoy the work. The problem is this was no adaptation. it was the exact same play  which i think contributed to my headache because i was trying to figure out if they were in an alternate universe or if the director had thought the change of costume would liven it up a bit.

The cast was briiliant though especially Patrick Stewart and theThree witches. So I recommend the show, but it won’t be your usual Macbeth, nor will be be like a Julia Styles movie adaptation.

IRON MAN

Okay, this has to be the coolest movie i’ve seen in years.

I mean the absolute coolest movie. I will now list the proof that this is the coolest movie.

#1 Robert Downey Jr. – very good casting even if they didn’t want him in the first place

#2 A bad ass Robert Downey Jr. – Need I say more

#3 He flies, and not because he was supernatural powers but because he’s a flippin genius who built his own rocket suit.

#4 The rocket suit- it flies, it’s got cool colors, he has those glowing eyes plus the deeeeep voice changer.

#5 explosions- they were very cool explosions

#6 it had an actual plot, and it wasn’t hokeyyyyyyyyyyy

#7 insane special effects

#8 believable bad guys, well as believable as one can be while wearing an enormous  suit of armor

Protecting our Neighborhoods

Well,

I see the congestion pricing defeat as a victory for the real residents of New York City. I’m not knocking people who have come here to be a part of the city. I’m knocking the people who come to this city and only know the trendy New York, and take taxi’s to go 5 feet.

Some people move to Brooklyn to save money. Other people move to Brooklyn to live there, and why shouldn’t they have the right to drive in the city too, and why should we want BK to look like Manhattan.

It has a charm, and when you build monstrously large buildings next to houses that charm starts to disappear. Development isn’t bad, but we can’t let it get out of control.

Sorry I’ve not been posting

Well I had a little problem with my pw, but the wordpress ppl were so good helping me figure that out. i’ll be updating later.

i’m back

Shalomie readers. I lost my password so that’s why i haven’t been on in a while, but i’m back so i’ll be trying to post regularly.

THe subway still stinks IT’s still dirty and overcrowded. The city is moving too slowly to support alternative transportation, but they want to set up congestion pricing. SHouldn’t we set up bike parks first, like we saw in the amazing race.

Anyway I’ll post more tomorrow. For now

Adios: Goodbye

Hello my 1 loyal fan

Sorry about my absence. I forgot the password to the blog.

Anyway I’m back and I’ll be making regular updates again.

One comment about the comment about the subway annoyances,

Popping gum is cute on 7 year olds. When grown A** adults don’t know how to chew gum with their mouth closed, yeah not so cute. Not only that what happened to curtesy.

Is it really so bad to have common curtesy and to think of the other people sitting beside you as you make one irritating sound after another. It’s like someone clipping nails on the subway, it’s like some medieval torture, the constant, slow, tick, tick, tick , tick.

It’s not a sin, but is it really so bad to not pop gum.

Another Neighborhood in Danger

My neighborhood in between flatbush ave, nostrand and Kings Highway is in danger.

I was walking around this weekend and found notices stapled to the telephone pole at the corner saying that my neighborhood might be upzoned. We didn’t get a letter at home for is such an important and controversial issue.

They want to upzone my neighborhood. WHY? WHY? WHY?

It’s a small area that consists of 2-3 story houses with a handful of apartment buildings scattered around. What possible reason would they have to upzone this quiet little area.

The houses are allowed to build up, and there are already apartment buildings so that means they’re allowed to build at least 7 stories high. WHAT POSSIBLE REASON WOULD THEY HAVE FOR WANTING TO BUILD HIGHER THAN THAT.

I don’t want out of scale development. If I wanted to be surrounded by supertall buildings I would move to manhattan. We have to stop this need to build large and tall in every neighborhood in brooklyn.

Also for the past three years everytime there has been decent weather I have been woken up by and plagued by the constant sound of drilling and hammering and tarps flapping.

I want to enjoy my neighborhoos, and how can I do that if someone is trying to jamm more people where they don’t fit. Every week I can pull out a shopping bags full of garbage from around my house that doesn’t belong to me. Some of it from the school across the street and some is from people around the neighborhood. Am I going to have to hire someone to clean up because there are more people dropping garbage. We have to keep out windows closed at times because there is so much traffic on the street. If we upzone and allow for more large development there will be more noise and air pollution.

Not only that but areas such as sheepshead bay have now had to downzone because of out of scale development that has put condos next to bungalows.

We have to stop this attack on home owners in brooklyn.

Subway Annoyance

Oh boy,

Surely I cannot be the only nag on the nyc subways. For the love of swedish fish please everybody who is annoyed by the loud music on the subway, please say something.

I know I am not the only one who does not enjoy listening to loud rock music at 8am. If I  wanted to listen to it the music would be on my ipod.

This is a call to allllllllllll people using any type of metro system. If someone is beng rude, let them know. Cracking gum, right up there on the list of subway annoyances.

Seriously though, it’s not even my health that’s being damaged, just my patience. People are losing their hearing because they damage their eardrums by listening to such loud music. It’s not my health in danger, it’s yours. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease  turn down the music. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease.
